Atlantic Seaboard & Chapmans Peak Look Out Sidecar Experience (2 Hour)
After your meet & greet with the driver, you will board your sidecar & head out of the City along the Atlantic Seaboard via the coastal suburbs of Sea Point, Bantry Bay, Clifton, Camps Bay and Hout Bay (optional stop at Maiden's Cove) and onto Chapman's Peak Drive lookout point.
After a brief photo (toilet) stop on Chapman's Peak Drive, head back into Hout Bay and then over Constantia Nek into the beautiful wine producing suburb of Constantia.
Enjoy the scenery of Cape Town's southern suburbs as you cruise along Rhodes Drive and through the leafy areas of Bishopscourt & Newlands.
After a brief stop at Rhodes Memorial (toilets) where you can enjoy the views of the Cape Flats, head back to the City/Waterfront via the Nelson Mandela Boulevard.
After your meet & greet with the driver at the pickup point, head out of the city to Maiden's Cove via the Atlantic Seaboard: 20 minutes. 5 mins stop for photos.
Continue along the coast via Camps Bay, Hout Bay and another stop at the lookout point on Chapman's Peak drive. Drive time 30 mins. 5 minute stop for photos.
Return to Hout Bay via Chapman's Peak Drive & then head up over Constantia Nek towards Rhodes Memorial via Rhodes drive. 30 min drive.
Stop at Rhodes Memorial for photos. 5 minutes. Re-board your sidecar & head back into the city. 25 minutes.
Total tour duration: 2hrs
NOTE: This itinerary can be tailor-made subject to time available and distance travelled.
Rates are on a 'per sidecar' basis and include:
* sidecar with driver
* use of all our riding gear (leather jackets, helmets, goggles)
* complimentary bandanas, fuel & insurances
All our sidecars carry the driver plus up to two passengers. (One passenger in the sidecar + one passenger behind the driver)
Rates do not include (if applicable):
* guests' meal costs
* entry fees
* toll fees
* tasting fees
* any other personal expenses

What to bring
Bring your camera (mobile phone) and sunblock
What to wear
Comfortable clothes & closed footwear. We will supply leather jackets, bandanas, helmets & goggles.
Any one of the following suggested pickup points are suitable:
* Sidecar Depot. 1 Dickens Road, Salt River, Cape Town.
* In front of Ferryman's Pub, V&A Waterfront
* Any City Bowl or V&A Waterfront address.
PLEASE NOTE: If pick-up or drop-off is outside the Cape Town City/V&A Waterfront area, drive-time of your trip may be reduced.
Drop-off can be at any of the pick-up points.
Cancellation Policy: If a confirmed reservation is cancelled, cancellation fees will be levied as follows: (Please also refer to RAIN POLICY)
a. More than 7 days prior to commencement of tour NIL
b. Between 7 days and 3 days prior to commencement of tour 50%
c. Less than 72 hours prior to commencement of tour 100%
If a passenger(s) fails to join the tour/transfer, or joins it after departure, or leaves it prior to completion, no refund, pro-rata’d or otherwise, will be given. Whilst CSA will make every endeavour to follow the agreed itinerary on the day, it is understood that re-routing may become necessary due to circumstances beyond our control (eg: road closures, traffic congestion, unsafe conditions, etc)
Delayed Pick-up policy: CSA (Cape Sidecar Adventures) allows a 30-minute leeway with agreed pick-up times throughout the tour. Should the guest exceed this leeway, CSA can choose to either withdraw the sidecars & terminate the tour with no refund, or choose to wait, with an additional charge R300/sidecar per extra 30 minutes being levied.
Payment Policy: A minimum payment of 50% of full value of the invoice is required to secure a booking unless otherwise agreed in writing with CSA. Balance outstanding must be paid in full at least 1 week prior to the outing. Failing this, CSA reserves the right to cancel the booking & withhold deposits already paid.
Under no circumstance will CSA convey any passengers unless an indemnity form has been completed and signed by all passengers prior to departure.
All sidecar passengers are automatically covered by our Passenger Liability Insurance cover for up to R2 million per event.
CSA shall not be liable for any loss or expense arising from the loss of property, cancellation or curtailment of any tour/transfer however caused. If sickness or accident interrupts a tour/transfer, CSA shall not be liable for any cost or expense arising therefrom. CSA shall not be liable for any refund, either partial or total, of passage money paid. If applicable, CSA recommends that clients advise their passengers to purchase appropriate insurance to protect themselves against such eventuality.
a. If there is a possibility of rain on the day of the tour, clients can decide, AT THE LATEST, BY 5PM THE DAY BEFORE THE TOUR, to either:
i. Elect to take the tour/transfer at a later date agreed upon by CSA & the client OR use the credit available towards a future sidecar outing.
ii. Elect to take the planned tour/transfer with wet-weather gear provided by CSA. (If this option is taken, a back-up vehicle at the client’s cost is recommended)
iii. Elect to accept a full refund.
b. After the client has agreed to commence with the tour/transfer, CSA will have no financial obligation towards the client should the weather become rainy.
Tour fee quoted covers fuel for up to 200km’s, insurances, use of biking gear (helmets, leather jackets, goggles, ponchos) + plus 1 complimentary bandana per passenger.
