Table Mountain Plateau Run (Cr1)
Table Mountain Plateau
The trail passes through lush fynbos and over swampy areas. You will see stunning views across the lower part of Table Mountain and the reservoirs that were built over 100 years ago. One can also see the Peninsula stretching down to the majestic tip that is Cape Point. The Table Mountain run is not overly challenging but for some the rocky downhill to Echo valley will keep you on your toes! Don't burn all your matches too early as the pass gradually rises towards Table Mountain summit Maclear's Beacon. From here it is all flat and easy back to the cable car station. The route is a combination of wooden walkways and single trails.
